Every month we look for a specialty coffee roaster with something worth bringing into your daily routine. This August, we’re heading north to Burleigh Heads and welcoming Social Espresso.
Founded in 2015, Social Espresso has spent more than a decade immersed in Queensland cafe culture. Their approach has always been bigger than simply roasting and selling beans. They work closely with cafés, train baristas, share brewing knowledge and build long-term relationships around one thing we can definitely get behind: making better coffee more accessible.
That hospitality background comes through in the cup. Social Espresso focuses on sweetness, clarity and balance, roasting coffees that perform on a busy cafe bar but feel just as comfortable on your kitchen bench. Expect dependable espresso, seasonal single origins and plenty to explore across both espresso and filter.
What drew us to Social is how approachable they make specialty coffee. You don’t need the perfect setup or a coffee dictionary beside you. They source well, roast carefully and give you the knowledge to get more from what you’re brewing.
